“I have learned a lot from Rishi Ji during our traumatic past few years in New York City. How we celebrated when his blood count was high. We had dinner, went shopping, laughed .. in his stockings we stayed at home watching tv ordered in amazing food na still had wonderful times hoping the next round of chemotherapy he would go better .. hope n be strong is what he taught me .. value every day .. we all miss him today !!! I can imagine how excited he would have been for his 69th birthday !! I’m sure he’s partying with his family there. Happy birthday Kapoor Saab (sic), ”the actress wrote.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 67. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. As a result, he and Neetu Kapoor spent about a year in New York City for his treatment. Rishi Kapoor returned to India in September 2019. He was last seen in the movie The Body.
