NEET update- NOT Postponed! Fake notice doing rounds

NEET update- National Eligibility and Entrance Test, NEET 2022 is NOT postponed as a fake notice circulated on the internet. The Press Information Office, PIB, shared the photo of the fake notice under the name of the NTA and told the students that the NTA had not published any notice.

The fake NEET UG 2022 notice stated that the undergraduate medical entrance exam will now be held on September 4, 2022.

PIB tweeted: “A notice is doing the rounds on social media claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the NEET (UG) to September 4, 2022 instead of July 17, 2022. #PIBFactCheck This notice is #Fake NTA has not published any such notice.”

Applicants appearing for NEET 2022 are advised to follow and spread the notices available on the official website – nta.ac.in.

In line with the 2022 NEET schedule, the undergraduate medical entrance test would take place on July 17 and the registration process would end on May 20.

The fake notice is being spread due to the increasing demands of aspirants to postpone the exam. Medical wannabes are demanding to postpone NEET UG 2022 and their protest on social media is getting very popular.

NEET aspirants also write requests to various authorities regarding their deferral request. Recently, aspirants wrote a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan asking for the postponement of the entrance medical examination. The NTA or any other authority has yet to respond to student inquiries.

Few aspirants shared the copy of the letter sent to the officials, the students requested that the NEET exam be postponed for at least 6 weeks, giving more preparation time to the students.
