NEET PG 2022 postponement: IMA writes to Health Minister, requesting a postponement of the May 21 exam date.

NEET PG 2022 postponement: The Indian Medical Association, IMA, has written to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, seeking that the NEET PG 2022 examination be postponed. The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, NEET PG 2022 test is set for May 21. Many students have requested that the examination be postponed due to the delayed NEET PG 2021 counselling.

In a letter to the health minister, the IMA requests that the centre take into account the delays in the NEET PG examinations and admission procedure. According to IMA, the NEET PG 2021 test has been postponed by 5 months and will be held in September 2021. As a result of the disagreement over the OBC reservation criteria, the counselling for PG admissions was also postponed until January 2022.

According to IMA, most states’ counselling for stray vacancies is likely to be completed by mid-May. This would mean that there would be very little time between counselling and the revised exam date. If an applicant does not get a seat, he will only have roughly a week to study for and take the NEET PG Exam. A copy of the letter is available below.
