Naxal attack on CRPF: Three CRPF members were killed in an attack by Naxal in Nuapada district of Odisha. CRPF said three members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in an attack by Naxal in Nuapada district of Odisha today.
He was part of the Road Opening Party (ROP) when he was attacked. This attack happened this afternoon.
CRPF said that troops from the 19th Battalion CRPF deployed for ROP near Sahajpani village, Naupada district, Odisha, came under attack by Naxalites around 2:30 p.m.
The soldiers returned fire and forced the Naxalites to flee. In this encounter, three CRPF soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice.
Three martyred soldiers
ASI Shishu Pal Singh, ASI Shiv Lal and Constable Dharmendra Kumar Singh were martyred in this attack. ASI Shishu Pal Singh was a resident of Aligarh in UP, ASI Shiv Lal was from Mahendragarh district of Haryana and Agent Dharmendra Kumar Singh was from Rohtas district of Bihar. Other soldiers were sent to the scene. Simultaneously, a search operation was launched.
The government of Odisha has announced that they will give 20 to 20 lakh rupees
The Odisha government has announced an ex gratia amount of Rs 20 lakh each to the family of each martyr. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik tweeted and wrote, “Shocked by the unfortunate incident in Nuapada district where 3 CRPF jawans gave their lives bravely fighting the Maoists.
My condolences to the families of the martyrs. While expressing deep condolences to the bereaved families, Odisha DGP said the operation will continue in the naxal attack area.
