MWC 2022: Nokia C21 Plus, C21, and C2 2nd Edition affordable Android Go phones launched

HMD Global unveiled three new Nokia smartphones at the ongoing MWC 2022. The new phones are Nokia C21, Nokia C21 Plus, and Nokia C2 2nd Edition.

Common among these new Nokia phones is Android Go, all of which comes with pre-loaded. These low-end phones will be great for people who want affordable phones to perform simple tasks on a budget.

As with most Nokia phones, the Nokia C21, Nokia C21 Plus, and Nokia C2 2nd Edition were introduced outside of India initially.

Three Nokia phones have arrived in Europe so far, but it is possible that HMD plans to launch them in India. But we do not know the details of the Indian launch of these phones.

HMD said that while the Nokia C2 2nd Edition and Nokia C21 Plus will be available for purchase from April, the Nokia C21 will go on sale sometime by the end of March in Europe.

Price of Nokia C21 and its specifications

The Nokia C21 comes at a price of EUR 99, which means about Rs 8,500. This new Nokia phone uses Android 11 (Go edition), which is a cut-out version of Android 11 that is best suited for basic tasks that don’t consume much of your phone’s RAM.

Thanks to this software, Nokia C21 comes pre-loaded with simple versions of Google applications, such as Google Go, Gmail Go, YouTube Go, and Maps Go, among others.

I would not recommend downloading and using complex apps or games, such as Battlegrounds Mobile India, Nokia C21, and two other phones.

With that in mind, let’s talk about hardware. The Nokia C21 has a 6.517-inch HD + LCD with a notch on top. Inside the notch is a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the main rear camera of the phone includes an 8-megapixel sensor.

The Nokia C21 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor integrated with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

You can expand the storage using a MicroSD card if the provided storage feels too small for you. There is a removable 3000mAh battery inside and a fingerprint sensor on the back of the Nokia C21.

Price of Nokia C21 Plus and its specification

The Nokia C21 Plus is slightly better in terms of terms. So is its value. This phone starts at EUR 119, which is about Rs 10,000.

This Android 11 (Go edition) phone comes with a 6.517-inch HD + notch display. It also uses the same processor, the Unisoc SC9863A, but with 4GB of extra RAM at the end.

There is also 64GB of storage for this phone, as well as microSD card support. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. The Nokia C21 Plus has IP52 certification, which means it can easily withstand water damage.

Nokia C21 Plus’s cameras are slightly better than Nokia C21’s. Instead of one sensor, this one has two senses; 13-megapixel main sensor and 2-megapixel sensor, which is useful for standing tall.

On the front, there is, too, a 5-megapixel camera. The Nokia C21 Plus comes with a larger 4000mAh battery, which means more power.

Price of Nokia C2 2nd Edition and its specifications

The Nokia C2 2nd Edition is the cheapest. This phone costs the original price of EUR 79, which is Rs 6,600. The Nokia C2 2nd Edition has a 5.7-inch display with low FWVGA resolution.

It uses an unspecified MediaTek processor with up to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. You get a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera on the Nokia C2 2nd Edition. This phone has a removable 2400mAh battery.
