Militant attack on BSF jawans in Tripura

Militants attack in Tripura: The Militant attack on BSF jawans in Tripura put security agencies to sleep. On Tuesday, BSF personnel patrolling the area adjacent to the Bangladeshi border were ambushed by militants, in which two members of the border security forces were killed. Militant organizations have long attacked the security forces in Tripura.

According to the BSF, at around 6.30 a.m. Tuesday, the militants ambushed them as they patrolled the area adjacent to the border with Bangladesh. A BSF sub-inspector and police officer were killed in the attack. According to the BSF, the two brave soldiers fought hard against the militants. From the traces of blood found there, it appears that the militants were also injured in this attack. However, they managed to escape from the place. The BSF personnel who received Veergati were identified as Sub-Inspector Bhuru Singh and Constable Rajkumar.

According to the BSF, since the incident (Militants attack), intensive searches have been underway throughout the area so that the activists can be caught. But according to reports, after the attack, it appears that the militants fled across the Bangladeshi border.

But this is the first time in recent years that a militant attack has taken place in Tripura. Although the Tripura National Liberation Front (NLFT) and the Tripura Tiger Force were active here in the 1980s and 1990s, both organizations were wiped out after the crackdown by the security forces. These two militant organizations operated from the border with Bangladesh and had their camps there. But a few years ago the Bangladeshi army also took action against them. Since then, these militant organizations have fallen silent. But once again NLFT is ready to extend its feet in Tripura. It is believed that these organizations may be in contact with other militant organizations operating in the northeastern states.
