The Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association of India (TEMA) has signed an agreement with the India-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) to jointly promote ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’, and according to a statement, Telecom and ICT Facilitates investment and manufacturing in regions. TEMA CONNEXT 2021 will come on board as a partner organization for India’s Virtual Trade Mission from June 11-25, 2021 for 10 days-10 states of the ICCC.

The statement said, “Aatmnibhar Bharat, Make in India, with TEMA of the India-Canada Chamber of Commerce to promote investment and manufacturing.” TEMA Chairman Emeritus NK Goyal said that the association will offer programs such as cyber security, new technologies, railway telecom VSS technologies, education in new technologies, educational programs and 6G collaboration program in association with ICCC.
Our focus will also be on jointly promoting investment in AtmaNirbhar Bharat, Make in India, Telecom, ICT, Railways, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Agriculture, Video Surveillance, Smart Cities. “Ahead for opportunities in areas such as satellite communications, secure cyber technology, reliable telecommunications products, next generation telecommunications and information and communication technology (ICT).
The MoU will pave the way for both organizations to collaborate on a range of mutually beneficial sectors. These include working together to identify and explore business opportunities between two organizations; Bilateral economic, technical and commercial opportunities between Canada and India; Promote direct company-to-company linkage and publicity between ICCC and TEMA business members; Provide a platform for networking, exchange of ideas and information and advancing the interests of both bodies.
The collaboration will have a major impact on bilateral ties and both the organisations will work to facilitate and expedite the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Canada and India, which is being negotiated for nearly a decade,” Vikas Sharma, Director, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) – ICCC, said.
