Kannada Producer Ramu Dies for COVID-19, Sandalwood Pays Taxes

Kannada manufacturer Ramu has passed away due to COVID-19. He is survived by his wife Malashree and two children.
He was being treated at MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bangaluru, where he was breathing.

“He has been one of the most disturbing genres of filmmakers, not only building his own identity but also ensuring that their films work in his name. His films work in his name rather than in the name of a hero, director or music director. His name has attracted audiences to theaters.

Since he had the courage to spend a lot of money, the 52-year-old Ramu had won the ‘Koti Ramu’ (which means he spent a lot of money on making movies), ”he said.


Ramu is survived by his wife Malashree and two children. She was popularly known as Kanasina Rani (Girl Girl) by her fans at the time. They have a daughter Ananya and a son.


Ramu won the title with his large budget of no less than Rs 1 crore in a small market like the Kannada industry in the 1990s. He started his own film distribution business which was his family’s business and later became a producer. He had produced more than 30 films under his banner Ramu Enterprises. In his career spanning more than two decades as a producer, he had produced more than 30 movies, of which Malashree had acted in 11. He had produced 37 films including Ak47, Lockup Death, CBI Durga, and Kalasipalya.May his soul rest in peace!
