Chennai: Former politician and President of Makkal Needhi Maian (MNM), Kamal Haasan said the Tamil Nadu government should conduct Class 12 board exams even if it is delayed.
He called M.K. The Stalin government to make a decision based on student interests in government. The veteran said many leading academics have criticized the central government’s decision to cancel the CBSE and ICSE Class 12 boards over the epidemic.
Kamal Haasan said the marks for the Class 12 exams are very important in the admission of professional courses and the admission of foreign universities, therefore, the exam should be done taking all precautionary measures and appropriate planning.
The MNM chief said if necessary, the exam syllabus should be reduced and students should be informed of the exams in advance.
He pointed out that management should consider how Kerala conducted the exams.
The South superstar said the Tamil Nadu government should follow the example of Kerala and it was important that it looked at the future of the students before making any decision.
