Justiceforcaaspirants: ICAI CA students demand justice, further attempt amid Covid-19

Justiceforcaaspirants: New Delhi: As the Institute of Chartered Accountants India (ICAI) is set to hold the basic, intermediate and final CA exams in July, several students, including CAs, urged the institute to include an opt-out option in the CA May / Examination July session and allowing candidates to defer their application with an additional attempt other than the November 2021 attempt.

The CA Final, Inter, IPC and PQC exams were scheduled between July 5 and July 20, 2021, and the CA Foundation exams from July 24 to July 30. be allowed to appear in the November cycle, around 6,000 students wrote to Chief Justice of India NV Ramana urging him to take cognizance of the students’ demands, including an opt-out option for all affected students by Covid or reasons associated with Covid, extension of old course and additional attempts for CA ICAI students.

Asking ICAI to verify issues raised by students for the next CA exam, Kirit Somaiya, former MP and Chartered Accountant, said: “Asked ICAI to verify issues raised by students for the CA exam. July 5. Students in the old course fear losing an attempt requesting a postponement or provision for an additional attempt (other than November 2021). “
