Jodhaa Akbar Set Fire To Karjat, No Victims

Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Jodhaa Akbar iconic set up a fire that apparently led to huge losses to the owners. On Friday, a huge fire broke out inside the ND film studio hosted by leading art director Nitin Desai, in Karjat Maharashtra.

According to the PTI, the blaze broke out at about 12.15 pm and no fatalities were reported so far, he said. The fire broke out in the set of Kodhaa Akbar, a film starring in 2008 with Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the official said. The plank, PoP, and other items almost caught fire, he said.

It was discovered who had actually caused the fire, he said. Firefighters and police officers arrived on the scene. No casualties were reported as there were no shootings due to the closure in Maharashtra. The fire was caused by a railway fire that affected the walls of the studios.

Jodhaa Akbar’s set was created in 2007, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Later, Ekta Kapoor’s historical drama, Jodha Akbar, was also shot here between 2013 and 2014. The show starred Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma in leading roles.
