J&K: No security clearance related to passport verification for subjects found involved in law and order said the J&K government.

J&K: The government of Jammu and Kashmir announced on Sunday that those engaged in activities that violate public order in the Union territory will face strict measures from the administration. The statement issued by the government indicates that the special branch of the CID ordered all units to deny security clearance for engaging in stoning and other crimes prejudicial to state security.

The order read: “No security clearance related to passport verification for subjects involved in public order, stone-throwing cases and other crimes prejudicial to the security of Union territory.”

The statement further states that the IADC will also review individuals’ past records during verification related to passports, services, and any other checks with government programs. Apart from this, investigative agencies will work with local police stations to access an individual’s story. The circular said anyone found in violation of law and order will be denied a security clearance.

“In addition, digital evidence such as CCTV footage, photographs, videos and audio clips, images of quadcopters available in the files of security forces, police and security agencies should also be referred. Anyone involved in such cases must be denied a security clearance, ”the order said. In addition, they will also be denied government jobs and other government benefits.

Meanwhile, security has been stepped up in Union territory ahead of the anniversary of the repeal of Article 370 and Independence Day celebrations in the valley.
