Jio UPI’s automatic payment is now live for prepaid and after paid customers, check all details

Jio customers will now be able to make their own recharge payments without having to remember their recharge date or last confirmation date as the user-selected tax plan will be automatically renewed by the default date.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Thursday noted that the automatic payment of integrated payments (UPI) is now live on MyJio App.

Jio has become the first communications operator to change the e-mandate feature launched by NPCI last year. It will allow users to set up fixed commands in the MyJio app using the default UPI payment for their various tax plans.

According to the revised RBI guidelines, customers are not required to enter a UPI PIN to verify a refund of up to Rs 5000. Users will also be able to create, modify and delete the e-mail authorization of tax plans according to their needs through. UPI Autopay, NPCI noted.

With effect from 1 October 2021, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) amended its automatic withdrawal rates. Users who have set up online subscriptions or regular payments for their insurance premiums, accommodation, service bills, or systematic investment schemes (SIPs) may need to reconfirm their payments due to new requirements.

According to the central bank’s recommendations, customers should use the additional factor verification (AFA) for all recurring payments made with their payment cards, credit cards, UPIs, and advance payment tools (PPIs).

Kunal Kalawatia, product manager, NPCI said, “We are delighted to partner with Jio and witness UPI AUTOPAY entering the ever-emerging field of communication.

We believe our partnership will change the way Jio customers experience the renewal of their mobile pricing systems.

It is our constant effort at NPCI to provide an extra layer of comfort and convenience for all customers through their recurring spending and payments.

Kiran Thomas, Director, Jio said, “The combination of Jio prepaid and back-up programs and automatic UPI payments will now be available to every Jio user.

Jio users will no longer need to remember their update date or date to pay the bill and make personal payments. This will enable the service to remain open to every Jio prepaid user. “
