JEE Mains 2022 has been postponed for both sessions, and will now take place in June and July.

The National Testing Agency released a revised schedule for the (Joint Entrance Exam) JEE Mains 2022 on Wednesday. Both sessions 1 and 2 have had their schedules revised.

Here is the revised schedule:

The development came after students and IIT aspirants demanded that the exam be postponed. Students are encouraged to continue visiting NTA’s official websites, nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in. for more information on the exam

The registration period for JEE (Main) 2022 is now closed, and the date for the start of registration for session 2 will be announced soon. Similarly, the city of examination and details for the admit card will be communicated later.

The order issued today is a continuation of a public order issued on March 14. So many student groups and stakeholders had approached the NTA, requesting changes to the JEE Mains exam dates. The NTA then decided to push back one week of the JEE Main 2022 exam by one week.

The JEE Mains was held in four sessions last year. However, the authorities have returned to the original format this year.

The Joint Entrance Examination-Main is divided into two papers.

Paper one is for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes (BE and B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions, as well as institutions and universities funded and recognised by participating state governments. It also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is held for admission to IITs.
