The Jammu and Kashmir government has extended the closure of educational institutions till June 15 in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a directive issued by the J&K Secretary General, and the Chairperson of the State Executive Committee of the Department of Disaster Management, Assistance, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, all schools, educational institutions, colleges, universities and skills development centers will remain closed until June 15.
However those courses that require physical presence of students are exempted from the restrictions.
Teachers have been asked not to visit the institutions in person and to continue teaching students from online classrooms.
