IPL 2022: Chairman of the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, has confirmed that IPL 2022 will be hosted in India itself. But during this time, there will be a ban on public departure. Previously, there were speculations that due to the rise in corona cases, the IPL might be held in the UAE or any other country, but its picture has become clear. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told ABP News that this tournament will be played in the country. The last two seasons of the tournament have been held in the United Arab Emirates due to the Covid outbreak.

The IPL Board had recently announced that the Mega Player Auction for IPL 2022 will be held on February 12-13. This time, the title sponsor of the IPL will be the group “Tata”. This time more than 1200 players registered for the auction, including more than 300 foreign players. According to the Board of Governors, around 217 players will be bought for the next season, of which 70 will be foreign players.

The next season of IPL will be special in many ways, as 10 teams will participate. Lucknow and Ahmedabad teams will join the IPL. The last season of IPL was very exciting. In this, many young players surprised everyone by showcasing their talent. Many players have even secured a place in Team India. Chennai Super Kings won the IPL title last time. Also this time there will be an exciting battle for the trophy.

The Lucknow team selected fly-half KL Rahul, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and spinner Ravi Bishnoi from the draft. It was also almost decided to make KL Rahul the captain of the team. Apart from this, the Ahmedabad squad included the all-rounder Hardik Pandya, spinner Rashid Khan and young batsman Shubman Gill from the draft. Other than that, the team decided to make Hardik the captain. These two teams will be the center of attraction next season.
