IPL 2021: Three England players Chris Woakes, Jonny Bairstow, and David Malan have withdrawn their names from the second half of the IPL 14 season. England players’ decision comes at a time when IPL 14 is only one week away to start over. The teams are extremely angry at such behavior from the English players. Chris Woakes was with the Delhi Capitals, while Jonny Bairstow was seen playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The players have decided to withdraw from the IPL after the Manchester test between India and England was canceled. This kind of attitude displayed by English players is also seen as resentment towards India.
A franchise claimed that the England player had previously said he was available. “The franchise spoke to their player and informed him that he was available in England on September 15,” according to the Insight Sports report. But on Saturday, the team learned that the player was not available for the IPL. This behavior is not appropriate and it has been communicated to BCCI. ”
Sam and Moeen will participate
An official associated with the franchise called the behavior of the English players irresponsible. The official, on condition of anonymity, said he considered the behavior of England players in relation to the contract.
However, some English players have also decided to play in the IPL. Players like Sam Curran, Moeen Ali, and Livingston have left England for the UAE. These players are expected to join their teams in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.
