IOS 14.6 Released With Apple Card Family, Podcast Subscriptions, More iPhone 6s and Beyond

Apple has released iOS 14.6 for iPhone 6s and above and brought some new features announced at the company’s April event. Includes Apple Card Family, Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, AirTag related changes, and more. The iPadOS 14.6 has also been released next to the same changelog.

Apple released iOS 14 publicly in September last year and the acquisition has worked well over the past few months. Recent reports say that iOS 14 works on more than 90 percent of all active iPhone models.

IOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 are the latest versions of Apple apps for iPhone and iPad models. The new OS brings some of the features described by the Cupertino giant at its April Spring Loaded event.

IOS 14.6 brings the Apple Card Family to iPhone models. With the Apple Card family, users can share their Apple Card with up to five people in a family sharing group. This will allow families to track expenses, build debt, manage spending, and more.

With iOS 14.6, users can purchase premium subscriptions within Apple Podcasts via Apple Podcasts Subscriptions. They can subscribe to individual channels or shows and receive benefits such as episodes without ads, additional content, and early access to special episodes or series.

Prices will be determined by podcast creators who can offer free trials. In India, Apple Podcasts premium registration costs Rs. 1,799 annually.

Additionally, iOS 14.6 also allows users to add an email address instead of a phone number or AirTag and retrieve my network accessories in lost mode.

AirTag will not show the full number when tapped with an NFC-capable device. Those using Voice Control can turn on their iPhone and only use their voice for the first time after a restart.

Lastly, the iOS 14.6 update fixes issues such as unlocked Apple Watch unlocking, empty reminders, extensions for offline calls, Bluetooth issues, and performance downtime.
