Instagram Testing Collab Feature To Let Users Subscribe User Content: Here’s How To Use It

Instagram has announced the launch of a new feature called Collab, which is being distributed in India.

Using Collab, people can now invite another account to be displayed as a participant in the feed posts or reels they create, and the content will be shared on both sets of fans.

India is one of two countries where Instagram is currently testing this feature.

According to Facebook-owned communications company, users can invite a partner to their posts and reels using the Collab feature.

If they accept the invitation, the participant will be shown as the author and the content will be shared with their profile grid, increasing the content audience.

How can you use Collab?


The feature has not yet been released to the world. If you are an Instagram user from India, check out the following steps for using Collab:

Upload feed posts or create Reel in the normal way.
When you get to the end of your sharing screen, you’ll see an option to tag people.

Tap on Tag People to invite the editor by tapping the Invite Collaborator.
You can now search for an account and add them as a participant.

Note that the account will need to accept your invitation. Only public accounts also receive a feature as part of a test release that can be invited to Collab or by co-op.

Once the account has accepted the partnership invitation, they will be added to the tag screen and marked in the title of your post.


In early July, Facebook re-announced its plan to spend $ 1 billion (approximately Rs. 7,450 crores) on social media developers by the end of 2022.

The media giant had announced that the funds would include bonus programs to pay creators who hit certain categories. in its apps, including Instagram.
