North Western Railway had earned record revenue of Rs 202 crore from scrap disposal till January last year. According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Public Relations Manager of North Western Railway, a lot of work is done by the railways to remove unusable and unnecessary scrap.
The goal of earning Rs 230 crore
worked by the Department of Stores as part of the campaign to remove and sell old scrap from field units. North Western Railway has set a target of earning Rs 230 crore from scrap disposal this year.
Apart from this, many trains are also operated by the railways. Indian Railways has resumed weekly high-speed train and daily passenger train service between Jabalpur and Nainpur. It was launched by Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday, February 12, 2022 via video conference.
