IND Vs ENG: Twitter roasts Jasprit Bumrah for bowling 13 no-balls in one inning

IND Vs ENG 2nd Test: Jasprit Bumrah, India’s star bowler bowled not one or two but 13 no-balls in the first England innings.

England captain Joe Root hit extremely well and scored 180 unbeaten runs. England also passed the score of 364 with ease and scored 391 runs in the opening innings. Courtesy of Root’s 180, England managed a 27-run lead. Although not by much, England would be happy to have that lead in place. A small contribution in this lead is no-balls from Jasprit Bumrah.

The experienced fast bowler didn’t play one or two but 13 no-balls in England’s opening innings. He has a knack for bowling without a bowl every now and then, but playing 13 in a single end is a record in itself. Jonny Bairstow following in the footsteps of Jasprit Bumrah said: “They all add to the total and to our lead.”

There were a total of 17 no-balls played in all innings, of which Bumrah played 13. 13 of 17 belonged to Bumrah, not a record he would be proud of. Netizens have taken to Twitter to criticize the way Bumrah has played no-balls.

Here are some funny tweets:

In fact, Jasprit Bumrah bowled three no-balls in an over, twice. This led to the trollers going all out on Jasprit Bumrah for bowling those no-balls. If India wants to win the series, they will have to contain these silly mistakes. Bumrah’s performance in the 1st innings was pretty average. He was not able to pick a single wicket and the English batsmen maneuvered him with ease.
