IIT JEE Main 2023: Session 1 exam to get postponed? check latest updates

IIT JEE Main 2023: Thousands of engineering students have petitioned for the postponement of the IIT JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam, which is planned for January 2023. According to the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) JEE Main 2023 date sheet, the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam will begin on January 24 and end on January 31. This essential exam is scheduled to take place only a fortnight before board exams and may conflict with practice exams.

The CBSE board exams for class 12 will begin on February 15, 2023, with practical exams taking place in January. On social media, the hashtag “postponeJEEMains” is trending, with aspirants tagging the education ministry and the National Testing Agency (NTA) with their demands.

“Pursuing engineering degrees and becoming an engineer is a dream of lakhs of children, and the emotions of their parents and professors are linked with this exam, but they have started to give up on their ambitions due to the publication of premature dates,” said Ritu, a JEE-Main aspirant. “Not granting us a fair shot in JEE Mains will be a big injustice,” tweeted Sarfaraz. So please bring about fairness when it comes to tests as crucial as JEE”.

Anubha Sahai, a lawyer and President of India Wide Parents Association, said, “Students are in stress and this is serious. Only a couple of days ago three students died by suicide in coaching hub Kota due to stress”. “The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) schedule was released recently and the exam will be held in May. Then why can’t the same be done for JEE? There should be uniformity for all entrance exams,” Sahai stated.

The second JEE-Main exam will be held on April 6, 8, 10, and 12, 2023. “Assam Boards practicals fare started from 25 January, Bihar Board practicals from 10 January, Telangana Boards practical from 20 January and JEE Main from 24-31 January. Aren’t all of these dates incompatible? “How can the government not see?” wondered Aditya Jha, an engineering student. However, NTA has not responded to the worry over postponing the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam.
