The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2021 which will be the 7th T20 Cricket World Cup is scheduled between October 2021 and November 2021. Initially, the tournament was scheduled to take place in Australia from October 18 to November 15, 2020. However, in July 2020, The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the tournament has been postponed to 2021, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In August 2020, the ICC reaffirmed India’s organization of the 2021 tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made the final decision to host the country for the 2021 T20 Men’s World Cup and has made it clear that BCCI will retain accommodation rights regardless of where the event takes place event.
Due to the very bad situation of the COVID pandemic in India, the IPL 2021 is already suspended, but we hope that the BCCI will host the T20 World Cup 2021. A final decision on the location will be made later this month- this.
There are two continuous T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022. The ICC Cricket Control Board announced in April 2018 that the 2021 T20 World Cup will replace the 2021 Champions Trophy which will now be 2022 in Australia.
