Heavy rain-An orange heavy to very heavy rain alert has been issued in many districts of Madhya Pradesh and a yellow heavy rain alert has been issued in other areas. So far this month, it has received almost 80 percent more rain than normal.
New Delhi: Light to moderate rains with isolated heavy rains are likely over eastern Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar, east-south Madhya Pradesh, parts of Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa and the north -est of India today. Light to moderate rains accompanied by light to moderate rains can occur in one or two places in West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha, Marathwada and Telangana.
Light to moderate rains can fall over the coast of Karnataka, southeastern Rajasthan, southern Gujarat, parts of Kerala, the interior of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light rains accompanied by a dust storm may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, northwest and northeast Rajasthan, Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh. Light rains can occur in one or two places in the Western Himalayas.
Light to heavy rain

The highest rainfall was recorded at Pachpahar de Jhalawar at 103 mm.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain in many districts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday and a yellow alert for heavy rain in other areas. IMD’s senior meteorologist PK Saha said the weather forecast is valid until Saturday morning. He said the state has received nearly 80% more than normal precipitation in June so far.
