Narendra Modi Turns 71: In the midst of all the humble celebrations, one particular gift to PM Modi stands out a bit in a way.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 71 on Friday, September 17, 2021. Several programs are being organized across the country by BJP and others to celebrate his birthday.
On the occasion of Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday, BJP workers across the country pledged to vaccinate 2 million people against the coronavirus as a birthday present. The planned inoculation campaign was successful as more than 2 million people were bitten. It is also a record of a single day where more than 2 million people received the vaccine against the covid.
In the midst of all the humble celebrations, one particular gift to PM Modi stands out a bit in a way.
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 71st birthday and also sent him a bouquet of 71 red roses.
The beautiful diplomatic gift of 71 roses sent by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh had a message in Hindi which translated as: “Congratulations and best wishes on your birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
As the link between India and Bangladesh is historical in nature, the number 71 has special significance. It was not until 1971, with much of India’s help, that Bangladesh was able to gain independence from Pakistan.
The last time the two leaders met was when Bangladesh invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend celebrations for the country’s Golden Jubilee of Independence, the centenary of the birth of “Bangabandhu” in Dhaka this year in March.
Chances are the two leaders will meet in New York this year.
Meanwhile, a 20-day mega event “Seva Aur Samarpan Abhiyan” was also launched by BJP National President JP Nadda on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday.
