Government Scheme- PMSBY: Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) is also one such program. It is an insurance scheme in which a nominal premium of Rs 2 lakh can be insured. Under this insurance scheme, accident insurance will be taken out with an annual premium of Rs 12 (Rs 1 month). Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana(Government Scheme) is a type of accident insurance policy under which the insurance amount can be claimed in case of death or disability at the time of the accident.

Under this scheme, there is provision to give Rs 2 lakh to the insured in case of accidental death or total disability. While in case of partial disability, an amount of Rs 1 lakh is available.

Important elements related to the insurance plan:

Between the ages of 18 and 70 can benefit from this scheme. It is necessary for the applicant to have an Aadhar card.
If a subscriber has 1 or more savings accounts, they can join the plan through any savings account.
The insured will have to pay Rs 12 per year as a premium, which will be deducted directly from the account by the bank.


How to register

  1. The applicant will be required to link their Aadhar card to the bank, after which every year before June 1, a form will be completed and delivered to the bank.
  2. The scheme has one-year coverage from June 1 to May 31, which must be renewed annually through the bank.
  3. If someone has a joint account, then all account holders can join the plan.
  4. Only one bank account can be included in this plan.
  5. To register for the program, the account holder will need to log into the online banking service of the bank where he has a savings account.
