Dell UltraSharp Webcam has been introduced as a premium offering for 4K video conferencing. The cylinder web camera features Sony’s 4K sensor which is said to provide improved video communication even at low light.
Dell also reloaded an automated artificial intelligence (AI) feature to keep users focused or slow-moving. The webcam also has a sound reduction feature supported by software.
The launch of the Dell UltraSharp Webcam comes amid growing video conferencing, thanks to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Price for Dells UltraSharp Webcam in India is set at Rs. 18,999 ($ 199.99 in the US). The webcam will be available for purchase worldwide through Dell’s business channels starting today (Tuesday, June 29).

The Dell UltraSharp Webcam features an 8.3-megapixel Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor up to 4K UHD resolution at 24fps / 30fps rate.
The webcam has a full HD and HD resolution with a frame rate of up to 60fps. Dell has provided more lens lenses to capture more light.
By capturing bright colors, the webcam comes with Digital Overlap HDR capability. There is also a 3D / 2D audio reduction that uses software algorithms to eliminate grainy images.
Unlike a traditional webcam, the Dell UltraSharp Webcam offers a custom viewing field that can be taken between 65-, 78-, and 90-degree, and 5x digital zoom.
The webcam also features a Dell Express Sign-In feature that uses a built-in proximity sensor to detect your presence and automatically removes you when you log out. There is also an infrared (IR) sensor for enabling sign-in without using Windows Hello.

The Dell UltraSharp Webcam is made of a cylindrical aluminum body with a smooth metal carved top. The webcam also comes with a magnetic field and a flexible triangular adapter.
The magnetic mount can also be placed on a small bezel monitor and has a cable handling slot.
Depending on the connection, the Dell UltraSharp Webcam has a USB Type-C port that can be used with a USB-A-to-USB-Type C cable (two meters long) to connect to a PC. There is also a pre-installed magnetic cover that can be used to keep your seat secure. You can also scan the back cover when the webcam is used.

The Dell camera also has a white LED light indicator to notify users when in use. This is similar to how you see a green index appear next to a webcam on Apple MacBooks.
With advanced focus, the webcam uses an AI-backed Auto Framing feature that helps keep you looking and the center of the frame.
Dell provided support for both Windows 10 and MacOS devices on UltraSharp Webcam. To customize, the device requires Dell Peripheral Manager software. It also validates platforms including Microsoft Groups and Zoom.
