Delhi Will Impose A Night Curfew: The Delhi government has announced that a night curfew will be imposed in the nation’s capital from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.

The announcement comes as Delhi has witnessed an increase in coronavirus cases.

Delhi reported 290 positive cases on Sunday, the highest since June 10. At the same time, one death and 120 healings have been recorded in the past 24 hours. There are 1,103 active cases in the national capital.

For the second day in a row, daily COVID-19 cases in the nation’s capital have crossed the 200 mark.

According to the Delhi government health bulletin on Sunday, the positivity rate stood at 0.55% after 50,059 COVID-19 tests were performed in the past 24 hours.

Sunday’s positivity rate is the highest since June 4 when it was 0.67, ANI reported.

With the addition of new cases, the cumulative caseload in Delhi reached 14 43,352 including 1,103 active cases.

The cumulative positivity rate is 4.45 percent while the lethality is 1.74 percent. The nation’s capital also reported one death in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 25,105.

With 120 people cured of the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has risen to 14.17, 144.

According to an earlier ordinance passed by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), a “Graduated Response Action Plan (GRAP)” will come into effect if the positivity rate exceeds 0.5% for two consecutive days, resulting in the closure of various economic activities. in the national capital.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,09,032 people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The cumulative beneficiaries vaccinated to date amount to 2,55,57,615.

The total number of containment zones in the nation’s capital to date is 279.
