Death of Puneeth Rajkumar: It’s hard to believe that a talented artist like Puneeth Rajkumar is no more. The popular Kannada actor, who began his career as a child artist, died of a heart attack on Friday, October 29. He left for his heavenly home at the age of 46.

Fans pay tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar

Tears in their eyes gathered at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru where the remains of Puneeth Rajkumar have been kept for public view. Thousands of grieving fans paid their final tribute to the ‘power star’ and offered their condolences to Rajkumar’s family. People from all walks of life visited the stadium to catch a glimpse of Puneeth, one of the highest-paid actors in Kannada cinema.

DCP Central Bengaluru, in conversation with ANI, said authorities had banned the sale of alcohol in the city for two nights as a precaution. Puneeth’s untimely demise has left his family, friends and fans in a state of shock. The police are taking all measures to ensure that no untoward incident occurs as a result of his death.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s eyes will be donated

According to a Times Of India article, Puneeth’s eyes were donated to a donation center, which is named after her late father Rajkumar. The “Jackie” actor, who is the son of movie legend Rajkumar, followed in his father’s footsteps and donated his eyes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences to the actor’s family and said generations to come will be remembered for his work and wonderful personality.

Funeral of Puneeth Rajkumar

The actor’s last rites will be performed with full state honor at Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru, Manjunatha Prasad, principal secretary to the chief minister of Karnataka, said on Friday. CM Basavaraj Bommai state and other political leaders also paid their final respects to Puneeth at the stadium.

Bommai had shared a tweet, expressing his grief over Puneeth’s disappearance. “Shocked and deeply saddened that Karnataka’s most beloved superstar, Puneeth Rajkumar, is no longer with us. A huge personal loss that is hard to come to terms with. Almighty praying gives Rajkumar family and fans the force to bear this loss, “he wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.

Professionally, Puneeth Rajkumar was last seen in ‘Yuvarathnaa’, released in April 2021. Puneeth, who has appeared in more than 25 films, was also a TV presenter, singer, and producer. He is survived by his wife and two children.
