2022 CUET UG: Many students were left out of the first round of the Common University Entrance Test, which began on Friday in 510 cities in India and abroad due to a last-minute change in exam locations. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG applicants who were unable to appear for the important exam on the first day owing to a change in centres will have another opportunity in the second phase in August, according to National Testing Agency (NTA) authorities in response to their worries.
Aanchal, who is 18 years old, was one of many people who were unable to take the exam. She claimed to have taken her exam at a location in Dwarka earlier but was denied access when she arrived at the North Campus location.
“My centre has changed, I was notified. It became anxious and was unsure of what to do. When we arrived at the North Campus after a two-hour drive, they informed us that the window for entering the exam centre had closed “She spoke.
When asked if she had been made aware of the centre shift beforehand, Aanchal responded, “Only after learning that this is not my centre did I check my mail. If I had known the centre would alter, I would have examined it sooner.”
Ritika experienced the same thing when she arrived at the Netaji Subhas University of Technology as indicated on her admit card. When she arrived, she was told that the North Campus would now be her new exam location.
“I ran toward North Campus. but was sent away because the time had passed. This is wrong, and it could affect our entire future, “She spoke. Ritika has also registered with a different set of subjects.
“I wasn’t certain which course I would choose. I therefore filled out a different political science combination in addition to the BA programme that was slated for today. I’m happy I did it. I still have the chance to get admitted, “She spoke. In regards to how the exam was administered, parents have also aired their worries.
“First of all, they quickly implemented a new admissions system. The admission cards were then sent out very late. Additionally, they abruptly changed the examination location, “Santosh, Aanchal’s father, said.
Despite the last-minute modification, many students were still able to arrive at their testing location on time.
“We checked the email last night and were able to arrive here,” said Sanchit outside the test centre. “My brother, who is appearing for CUET, was allotted a centre in Dwarka but it was changed at the last minute to Delhi University.”
