Cruise Ship Drug Case: A special tribunal in the Mumbai court has adjourned until Thursday the hearing on the bail application filed by Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Aryan Khan’s bail request will be heard tomorrow (October 14, 2021) after 11:00 a.m.

With this update, Aryan will continue to stay in jail for at least one more night. Aryan Khan, along with several others, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 following a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.

Earlier today, the NCB filed a response in court opposing Aryan Khan’s bail application. In an affidavit filed by the NCB on Wednesday, the investigative agency opposed the bail application, saying the investigation has so far revealed its role in the conspiracy, buying, and consuming illegal drugs.

On October 7, a Mumbai Magistrates’ Court sent Aryan Khan and seven others into judicial detention for 14 days.

On October 8, the Esplanade Court denied Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha’s bail application for drugs seized following an NCB raid at a party on the Cordelia cruise ship.

After his bail application was denied on October 8, the case was taken to a special NDPS tribunal and the hearing will continue tomorrow.

In the October 2 raid, 23-year-old Aryan Khan was arrested along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and six others after the raid on the ship. BCN said it recovered drugs such as 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 5 grams of MD, and 22 MDMA pills during the operation of the accused, most of which are linked to the glamor industry and entertainment.

Later, in the past few days, another 10 people were arrested for their alleged involvement in the rave night, including four from a Delhi-based event management company that had chartered the Cordelia cruise ship for the Mumbai trip-Goa.
