CLAT 2021: Last Date for Application Extended; Check Out the Details

The Consortium of National Universities of Law has extended the deadline for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) application to April 30. Applicants can apply on the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in, before the due date. CLAT 2021 will be held on June 13 with a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. Previously, the exams were scheduled for May 9, but due to the conflicting dates of the CBSE board exams the entrance exams were postponed.

CLAT is being held for admission to the combined five-year LLB and LLM programs at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs). NLUs offer admission to various programs such as BA LLB, BSc LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSW LLB, and LLM programs. 2,538 seats are available for LLB programs and 742 seats for LLM study at participating National Universities.

CLAT 2021: Application Steps

Applicants seeking legal admission may follow the steps outlined below to use the Internet:

Step 1: Go to the official website of CNLU- consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the subscription link. Register with a mobile number and password. Upon successful registration, candidates will receive confirmation entries in their registered number.

Step 3: Sign in with ID and password.

Step 4: A new page will open. Complete the CLAT 2021 application form with the required information such as personal and educational information.

Step 5: Now, upload the scanned texts in the prescribed format.

Step 6: Pay the application fee by credit, debit card or full banking..

Step 7: Submit the application form and download the printer for reuse.

At the time of application, candidates will be required to submit an application fee of Rs 4,000 (unspecified category) and Rs 3,500 (reserved category).

CLAT 2021: Eligibility

Students who have passed the Class 12 exams or who will appear this year are eligible to apply for CLAT 2021. They must have obtained at least a 45% mark or the equivalent distance in the exam. For SC and ST nominees, at least 40 percent marks are required.
