Chrome may soon start asking if you really want to close all your tabs

With as many web browsers as we do on our phones, Chrome on Android had a ‘Close all tab’ menu option on the tabs temporarily, but it seems that some people may touch that by mistake because Google has started a new test Close all tabs dialog box.

If the feature is enabled from the chrome: // flags page in the Chrome Canary 100, selecting the ‘Close all tab’ menu will display a new confirmation window.

When a box appears, you can press Cancel (or your device’s back button / action) to close the tabs, or press ‘Close all tabs’ to confirm.

If you decide to press forward, all tabs will be cleared and the browser will shut down.

Canary builds are not stable, so you may want to wait until the beta or polished release.

It is also unclear how quickly Google can construct the flag into standard settings or automatically enable it, as long as the feature survives a future release.

Looking back, it is surprising that Chrome did not have this type of authentication, so it is possible that someone accidentally closed important items while cleaning.

If you want to try this functionality yourself, you will need to download Chrome Canary, as this has not yet reached other release channels yet.

And it’s not clear if Google will keep this feature close and eventually release it to everyone, so don’t get too attached right now.

In related matters, Google Chrome has introduced a new group groups feature that lets you separate and color your tabs into separate, labeled groups.

This resource and readability organization, and users also cannot hide groups of tabs they are not using at the moment.
