Chhattisgarh schools will reopen with 50% capacity from August 2, 2021. Physical schools are being opened only for the students of classes 10 and 12. During these online classes will also continue.
Reopening of Chhattisgarh Schools: Chhattisgarh schools are expected to reopen from August 2, 2021. However, the state government has decided to reopen schools gradually. Currently, schools will only start their offline lessons for students in classes 10 and 12. However, the Gram Panchayats may decide to reopen schools for students in grades 1-5 and grade 8 by the rural environment.
According to reports, online courses for learning and teaching will continue with offline courses. It was not made mandatory for students to attend classes offline. Along with this, schools across the state have been instructed to strictly follow Covid-19 guidelines and protocols.
Reopening of schools due to the fall in Covid-19 cases:
The state government has decided to reopen schools due to the decline in active Covid-19 cases across the state. However, the state government has said schools will only reopen in districts where the Covid-19 positivity rate is less than 1% in the past seven days.

In addition to offline courses at schools in Chhattisgarh, the state government has also authorized the reopening of hostels and boarding schools in the tribal-dominated Bastar Division. All of the state’s industrial training institutes (ITIs) will also reopen from August 2, 2021. While colleges of medicine, engineering, and polytechnics will gradually reopen, keeping the Covid-19 pandemic in mind.
