Chhattisgarh reported new strains of Coronavirus, according to a report by Dainik Bhaskar. According to the report, the state has confirmed new variations with five different samples. Doctors will still find the result of new variations in patients. It is feared that the new alternative, N-440, may weaken the immune system.
Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Dev said the Central Government had recently confirmed the availability of a new type of N-440 in 5 samples. The Minister also added that new alternatives are not so deadly. To date, there has never been a single case of British diversity, South African diversity and Brazilian diversity in the province.
On Wednesday, the state recorded 4,563 Covid-19 cases, the highest number of days since the outbreak, officials said. The state also recorded the deaths of 39 people killed by Covid-19 on the same day, an estimated 4,170.
On the positive side, 1.22 lakh citizens over the age of 60 were vaccinated on Wednesday, the highest one-day state vaccination rate.
The districts of Raipur and Durg top the list with 1,291 and 1,199 new cases reported respectively on Wednesday. Officials also said that of the 38,420 samples tested on Wednesday, the total number of tests in the province had reached 5,757,804.
