CBSE Board 2021 Examinations: The increase in COVID-19 cases has led to speculation that the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will not run all the papers and will only hold tests on the main topic; as last year. Some circulars in this regard have been circulating on social media. However, the board officials have denied the allegations.
A board official said the circular walk on social media is not the latest but the same as the one released in 2020. Last year, the board decided to hold only 29 paper tests as a result of the epidemic and other tests, followed by a special marking system. Nothing like this is expected to follow this year.
“There are some people who are deliberately trying to create confusion about this year’s board exams by spreading old stories about Grade 10 and 12 exams. Students should ignore last year’s circular and not be misled. The board did not release the information,” CBSE said in a statement.
This year, the CBSE has already postponed board exams for both 10 and 12 exams. According to the official schedule, the exams will start in May in both sections 10 and 12 and the Grade 10 exams will end on June 7, and the Grade 12 exams will end on June 11. The same program will be followed and all the calculated tests will be held.
As a great help to students, CBSE has announced that it will allow students to take an improvement test. These tests will be held in conjunction with separate tests. Students will be allowed to appear for the development test in only one subject. Previously, students had to wait a whole year for their performance tests. Among other reliefs are the reduction of the syllabus and the increase in the number of skill-based questions in the test.
