The CBSE official, while speaking to the leading website, indicated that if the situation worsens, CBSE may follow the section 10 assessment process, ‘but it is too early to say’.
“There has never been a situation like this in the world of most people. This is a global epidemic and the situation in India, cannot be ignored. We can hope for improvement but when? No one can tell the truth. Depending on the circumstances, how far do we go in postponing the exams? The news agency quoted a retired teacher as saying.
On the other hand there are reports that the exams could be held after July. Given the current epidemic situation across the country, it is said that Class 12 board exams can only be conducted after July.
It can be noted that there will be a high-level meeting of the government department and education on June 1 to decide on the CBSE Class 12 board exams.
The main section seeks to encourage Grade 12 students on the basis of internal assessment such as the Class 10 board examination. Currently, the Department is participating in consultation with experts on the matter. The UGC has also been shown this. In line with this, there are reports that the undergraduate examination of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) may also be postponed.
