Big meeting with PM Modi on Jammu and Kashmir today

Big meeting- A meeting is due to be held on Jammu and Kashmir today under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. In which 14 leaders of 8 different political parties will be involved. Meanwhile, a 48-hour alert was issued on Jammu and Kashmir and the LoC. According to sources, there is currently no proposal for discussion to give statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 14 delegates were invited to the meeting.
Big meeting- New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called a multi-party meeting on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. An invitation was sent to 14 leaders, including four former chief ministers, to attend this meeting. Most of them reached Delhi on Wednesday evening. No agenda has been set for this meeting and the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir have said they will attend with an open mind.

Alliance spokesman Gupkar, head of CPIM, Yusuf Tarigami, said: “We have not received any agendas. We will attend the meeting to find out what the Center has to offer. Tarigami was among 14 leaders who were invited to the meeting called by the Prime Minister. Other invited leaders include four former chief ministers – Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.

What questions can be discussed during the meeting?
At present, the agenda for the meeting called at the Prime Minister’s residence at 3 p.m. is kept under wraps. But it is believed that the government will discuss with local officials the demarcation and other issues, including the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

With this meeting, the delimitation process will be considered the beginning of the state. It is in a way the beginning of a broad consultation to advance the democratic process in the state. The demarcation process can be a bit long. The electoral process in Jammu and Kashmir can only start after drawing up a new electoral list after delimitation and correction thereof. Big meeting….
