Banaras Hindu University (BHU): Research Entrance Test 2021 Postponed, Know the revised date and other details

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has postponed the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2021. The RET 2021 exam which was supposed to start on April 2 has now been scheduled for April 11. The BHU RET 2021 exam has been postponed due to a Good Friday holiday in April 2. BHU RET 2021 Admit Card will be available from April 5 at bhuonline.in.

BHU RET is designed to offer admission to various Ph.Ds, integrated M.Phil-PhD programs, and M.Phil programs for the 2021-22 session. The entrance test will be conducted in computer-based mode across the country.

The Ph.D entrance test and the integrated M.Phil program will consist of two parts – Part A and Part B.

Part A will consist of 100 optional questions with three marks each. The questions will be based on Topical Knowledge, Practical Assessment and Analysis Performance and Research Method. The test will have 100 questions that will be tried in 120 minutes. Each question will carry three and the total marks will be 100. One third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The candidates must score a minimum of 35% marks in Test A to qualify for part B.

Part B will look at the Research Proposal and Personal Interview. Applicants, about four times the number of seats, will be eligible for Test B accordingly. Part B will be conducted in the relevant departments, schools, or institutions designated by the department. The test will be held for a total of 50 marks – 25 marks will be awarded for research proposal and 25 marks for personal interviews.

Applicants will be required to obtain a minimum of 225 marks to obtain a short list of additional entry procedures.
