Balaji Srivastava-New Delhi: 1988 IPS officer was appointed Delhi Police Commissioner. Balaji will replace SN Srivastava. SN Srivastava will retire on Wednesday.
B Srivastava was the Special Commissioner of the Delhi Police Vigilance Branch. Please say that SN Srivastava was serving as Delhi Police Commissioner as an additional office. However, he was fully appointed to this post last month. An order issued by the Home Office last month said the IPS officer of the 1985 batch had been authorized to serve as Delhi Police Commissioner until further notice.
He was given the additional charge of Delhi Police Commissioner in February last year. Previously, he had been brought in from CRPF and assigned as Special Commissioner (Law and Order) of the Delhi Police.
