What are the new rules for withdrawing money from ATMs and branches

According to SBI, customers with a BSBD account will now only be able to withdraw money from branches and ATMs for a limited number of times, i.e. up to four times without any service charges. . After that, if a customer withdraws money from an ATM or branch, they will have to pay Rs 15 as a service charge plus GST for each transaction. This rule will come into effect from July 1, 2021. The same rule will be applicable for withdrawing money from any ATM other than SBI.

SBI will make major changes to the rules limiting the use of checkbooks for its clients with BSBD accounts from July 1, 2021. Now in a fiscal year, these clients will only be able to use a 10-page checkbook without any service loading. After that, these customers will now have to pay 40% plus GST for a 10-page checkbook. On the other hand, for a checkbook of 25 pages, it will be necessary to pay Rs 75 plus the GST.
