Assam Assembly Elections – Shah, Nadda slam Congress for aligning with Ajmal’s AIUDF

Union Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah on Monday criticized Congress in conjunction with a perfume maker, Maulana Badruddin Ajmal of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).

BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda echoed another party meeting without criticizing Congress for endangering national security.

“We have worked for the development of Assam and Congress has formed a coalition with Badruddin Ajmal. If they come into power the government will increase. Do you want to stop access? The Congress party should be ashamed of working with Ajmal, ”Mr Shah told a rooster at a BJP meeting in Jonah’s Dhemaji region.
The AIUDF is an important constituency of 10 Mahajot parties or a major coalition led by Congress.

‘Flood monitoring measures’
In Majuli, where he is campaigning for Prime Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Mr Shah said the BJP would build large dams and stations to solve the problem of Assam’s chronic floods. Majuli, an “island” on the Brahmaputra River, is hit hard by the floods.

At the Rajgarh Tea Estate under the Tingkhong Assembly in the Dibrugarh region, Mr. Nadda beat Congress by joining the AIUDF.

“Congress means a policy of seizing opportunities. It is linked to the Muslim League in Kerala and Badruddin Ajmal’s party in Assam. (Former Prime Minister) Tarun Gogoi had criticized Ajmal, but his son met him today, ”said the BJP chief.

Mr Nadda also criticized Congress for ignoring the importance of Assam’s security, which had led to extremes and increased border crossings. “Congress has damaged Assam’s culture by tolerating intruders and inciting violence,” he said, adding that there were no set deadlines within five years of the Sonowal government.
