Aryan Khan Drug Case: A Mumbai court on Thursday (October 7th) sent Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan, Munumun Dhamecha, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and six others into judicial custody for 14 days in a seizure case drug. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar has transferred the alleged rave party case for a new hearing in a special NDPS tribunal.

Aryan Khan sent to judicial detention

After hearing arguments between NCB lawyers and defendants’ lawyers, the court dismissed NCB’s plea seeking new custody of Khan and others in connection with the Mumbai rave party case.

“No interrogation in custody is required because sufficient time and opportunities have been given to the NCB to investigate. Therefore, they are remanded in custody,” said Nerlikar, quoted by Bar and Bench.

Aryan Khan's lawyer to file for bail tomorrow

According to ANI, Satish Maneshinde will file a bail application on behalf of his client in court on Friday, October 8. NCB took Aryan to its Mumbai office after bringing him before the Magistrates’ Court, which sent him to 14-day judicial detention.

The magistrate’s court said it heard Khan’s request for bail on Friday at 11 a.m. He also asked the Narcotics Control Bureau to file a response by then, in accordance with the ANI.

The accused in the alleged cruise ship case will be kept in NCB custody in judicial custody till Friday as the jail won’t accept new inmates at this time.

Why NCB arrested Aryan Khan?

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Aryan, Munmun, Arbaz, and five others after raiding a Mumbai-Goa cruise on October 2. They were charged with the consumption, sale, and purchase of prohibited drugs.

Earlier this week, the Mumbai court extended the custody of Khan, Dhamecha, NCB of Merchant until October 7, denying their request for bail in the case.
