Apple suppliers attract new employees with repeated bonuses before the launch of the iPhone 13

Apple suppliers in China are competing to hire new staff as technology re-examines the launch of the iPhone 13 list. With this, providers offer recording bonuses on new hirings on their production plants.

Among the companies offering the bonus are Foxconn, Lens Technology and Luxshare Precision, all three of Apple’s major suppliers.

A new trend among companies has been identified in a recent report by the South China Morning Post.

According to the report, Foxconn’s factory in downtown China’s Zhengzhou now offers a recording bonus of 10,200 yuan (~ Rs 1.16 lakh) for new hirings.

The company, which produces about 80 percent of the world’s iPhones, will issue a bonus if those who join spend at least 90 days in the iPhone Assembly industry.

The amount of the bonus will be split between the new employee and the sender.

A combined Digital Product Business Group employee or iDPBG employee will receive 9,500 yuan and another 700 yuan will be awarded to the transferor.

The company shared details about the new hiring last week.

With the exception of Foxconn, Lens Technology, a company that offers touch screens Apple, has released similar rental benefits.

The company plans to hire 5,000 workers with a production line. In addition, another 2,000 will be employed as standard inspectors. The bonus for both roles has now been doubled by the company.

While Lens Technology used to offer 5,000 yuan (~ Rs 57,000) as a bonus to its employees back in February, it similarly increased to 10,000 yuan (~ Rs 1.14 lakh) in May.

Those who work with the firm for more than 20 days a month, for a total of seven months, will be eligible for the bonus.

Luxshare Precision is another Apple supplier with similar rental power.

From April to May, the company doubled its internal transfer bonus from 2,500 yuan (~ Rs 28,600) to 5,000 yuan.

In addition, it announced an additional bonus of 3,800 yuan (Rs 43,500) for its former employees who returned to the company.

The renewed focus on increasing staff is aimed at meeting the expected requirements of the iPhone 13 series, due to the fall launch this year.

Apple is expected to ship more than 130 million new iPhone units by 2021.

If orders are as expected, Apple’s current production area will only allow part of the company to meet the demand for iPhone 13 models this year.

The company has asked its suppliers to increase iPhone production to avoid this.
