Android apps open Windows 11 will be available for public viewing in February

Microsoft has announced plans to launch a public preview of its Android Windows 11 applications, which will take place in February.

Windows CEO Panos Panay confirmed this in a blog post while commenting on the early adoption rate of Windows 11.

The company released its latest operating system in October 2021 with redesigned connections. One of the key features of Windows 11 is the ability to run Android apps naturally on a PC or laptop.

However, the feature was not made available to users at the time of release.

Microsoft provided this functionality from time to time for those who signed up for the Window 11 Internal Program, but with a number of applications.

This will change soon as the company comments on a blog post that the next update will add support for the Android app to “Public Preview.”

This suggests that all Windows 11 users will be able to access Android apps via PC-based Amazon Appstore. Someone may not need to sign up for Windows Insider.

However, Microsoft describes this as a “public preview,” indicating that the feature may remain in the beta category. Therefore, it is possible to spot bedbugs and limited features.

At present, it is unknown whether Microsoft will provide users with a large library of apps with a public preview next month.

The Windows 11Insider Program is provided with about 50 applications.

Apart from this feature, the company has indicated that an upcoming update will bring the development of the work bar as well, which will include a dumb and muted feature.

It is also expected to restore drag and drop performance in the task bar.

One will be able to add a weather widget to the task bar. Microsoft will launch two redesigned applications, Notepad and Media Player. These will provide darker shades and a smoother design for Windows 11.

Apart from this, Panay also pointed out that the company saw a strong need to opt for Windows 11 as people accepted the free upgrade gift of Windows 11 twice as much as the older version.

Currently, Windows operates 1.4 billion devices each month, and the PC market also saw strong growth during the epidemic.
