Aishwarya: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared an article about her parents’ wedding anniversary on Wednesday, December 22 on her official Instagram account. The former Miss World took to social media to share a snap of her late father Krishnaraj Rai and mother Vrinda with a sweet note.
“Happy birthday my darling, darling mom Doddaaa-DaddyAjjaaa. I love you and THANK YOU very much for all your unconditional love and blessings… always,” the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress wrote. Fans have flooded the comments section with their posts.
It was Aishwarya’s first post after the Enforcement Branch burned her out in the Panama Papers case. ED officials interrogated Aishwarya for more than five hours at the agency’s office in Jam Nagar’s Delhi office as part of the Panama Papers case for alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
A team of six officials recorded their statement on Monday, December 20.
According to an IANS report, officials asked him 50 questions about a company, allegedly formed by his stepfather Amitabh Bachchan. The company was incorporated on the British Virgin Island, the report added. The actress of ‘Devdas’ was first a director of the company, then she became a shareholder.
It was the third time that Rai had been summoned for questioning. However, she did not join the investigation the previous times. The “Fanney Khan” actress traveled to Delhi after being summoned to appear before the authorities.
The ED filed a complaint with FEMA after the Panama Papers leaked exposed how businesses were set up on offshore islands to avoid taxes. Aishwarya Rai and others were named in the said case.
