Agnipath: 20% reserved for women in the recruitment

Agnipath- Agniveer Recruitment: 20% of positions will be reserved for female Agniveers in the Indian Navy. This was announced by Admiral SN Ghormade, Co-Chief of the Navy. Under the Indian Navy’s Agnipath scheme, Agniveers are to be selected for a total of 3000 positions.

In such a situation, a total of 600 positions will be reserved for women. Speaking to a media outlet in the capital Delhi on Tuesday, the Navy Co-Chief clearly stated that the female agniveer will join the Indian Navy. Their deployment will range from naval base to warship.

Thus, for the first time, women have the opportunity to become sailors in the navy. Until now, women were at the rank of officer in the navy but were not at the rank of sailor. Under the Agnipath program, 25% of working women will have the opportunity to become sailors.

Online registration to become an Agniveer in the Navy began July 1. Reportedly, so far, 10,000 women have enrolled in the Navy under the Agnipath program.

Total enrollment in the air force Meanwhile, the registration of Agniveers in the Indian Air Force has come to an end. From June 24 to July 5 (i.e. until 10 a.m. on Tuesday), more than 7 lakh applicants registered online under the Agnipath program.

It should be noted that there are a total of 3000 Agniveer positions in the Air Force this year. According to the sources, approximately the same number of candidates apply to become airmen every year. But because there haven’t been any Air Force recruits for the past two years, so this year a few more applications have come in.

The first Army recruiting rally will be held in August
10 in Ludhiana and Bengaluru on August 10. Reportedly, 40 out of 73 Army Recruitment Offices i.e. Indian Army BRAs have started online registration. The other 33 will also begin online registration by this week.
