The UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION examination is one of the toughest examinations in the country with their hopes high and mind full of preparation which they had been carrying out for months now.

But are all of them able to make it to the top?

On average, 900,000 to 1,000,000 candidates apply every year and the number of candidates sitting in the preliminary examination is approximately 550,000.

Results for the Prelims are published in mid-August, while the final result is published in May of the next year.

22-year-old Safin Hasan, a resident of Gujarat, passed the UPSC exam with 570th rank. he year was 2017, after that his training for IPS started. He got Gujarat cadre. He went to Hyderabad for IPS training. When the training was completed, he got the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police from Jamnagar district in Gujarat. he was the youngest officer in the country to become IPS.

When there was less money for studies, mother Naseem Bano worked as a bread maker in a restaurant and marriage ceremony. She was in a diamond unit with father Mustafa, although after a few years both parents lost their jobs. Then, somehow managed the expenses of the house. 

This journey of becoming an officer was not easy, he had to work very hard. Even spent many nights hungry.
