2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games- Avani Lekhara wins bronze in 50m shooting, 2nd medal for Golden Girl

Avani Lekhara wins another medal on his Paralympic Games debut. She secured a podium in the final of the women’s 50M 3P SH1 rifle and won a bronze medal for India. This is his second medal this year at the Paralympic Games. She had already won a gold medal.

19-year-old Avani Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympic Games. She won a gold medal in the women’s 10m AR standing final SH1.

India’s medal count has reached 12 now, with this medal. India now has 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. A bronze was disqualified. India now sits 36th in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games medal tally.
